 Questions & Answers

HOW LONG TO SEE RESULTS?

Approximately 48 to 72 hours after the treatment you'll have an increase in collagen production. It takes at least four weeks to see noticeable results.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The new collagen will last for several years. Which is why micro needling treatment is considered a very long lasting treatment. tThat is also why continued treatments are recommended to keep and continue your results.

*According to a 2008 study, skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment.

HOW OFTEN & HOW MANY ARE RECOMMENDED?

Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended. There are many factors to determine the amount of treatments needed.

 DOES IT HURT?

It's a Quick, Zero to Low-Pain-Level Procedure. Since numbing cream is applied you typically only feel it on the thinner areas of the face, such as the forehead, or jawline. If it is painful then you should let your provider know.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER?

It is virtually a “no down time” procedure. A slight redness that subsides within 24 hours is most common but it varies. The treatment settings and your skin type determine the after.
